Route 5 can be entered from the left, right, or centre. Pokémon salvajes are only on the middle route. También hay one trainer, the unofficial Líder de gimnasio AJ, with his Sandshrew.

At the south end of this part is the Day Care Centre to raise and breed your Pokémon. The important thing to note is that in order to pick up Pokémon you leave there or an egg (the old man outside will give you an egg, when one is generated) tenés que have an empty spot en el equipo. Hay un PC inside.
This is your first chance to obtain a Cleffa o Igglybuff by breeding Clefairy o Jigglypuff respectively. Clefairy y Jigglypuff can be caught in Monte Moon or on Ruta 3 respectively, if you need one. At this point you only have one Pikachu and he’s always a guy, so you won’t be able to obtain a Pichu until you get a Ditto.
That being said, podés get your Pichu to be born with Placaje eléctrico if the Pikachu is holding a 
Bolaluminosa, which you’ll get soon.
On the west side of the route, there is a gap in the fence. Go through it, then south and east along the fence to obtain a Revivir at the end of the path.
The gatehouse is impassable por ahora, so go through the trees beyond the gap in the fence to enter Aldea Oculta.
